Tempranillo planted at elevation brings about an elegant and delicate wine with a true Gibbston twist. The style is light-bodied with soft tannins, retaining the spicy and smoky notes that we love and differ significantly from our Pinot Noir.
Through careful management in the vineyard, years of learned understanding of how to treat the fruit in the winery and the massive effect of vine age, we are able to bring to bottle in confidence this 800 vine parcel from our Gibbston vineyard.
White pepper & boysenberry aromatics flow onto savoury tobacco, clove and crunchy plum. An elegant finish of black cherry and aniseed. This wine is unfined and unfiltered.
