Vintage release
We love to showcase our vintage wines, so you can experience the depth and complexity that only time delivers.
Fermented in open-top vats and matured on lees for twelve months in French oak, with 20% whole cluster fermentation, this Pinot Noir expresses classic Gibbston aromatics. A blend from five vineyard blocks, it’s driven by texture and mouthfeel, cherry and strawberry layered with pepper, spice and mocha, finishing long and savoury.
The cool 2020 season, with small bunches and extended ripening, built the concentration and structure for long-term cellaring. Over time, the wine moves beyond primary fruit, developing savoury depth and secondary complexity revealing a more complete expression of site and demonstrating the true value of time in the cellar.
