Brennan Gibbston Pinot Grigio 2010


The Pinot Grigio is produced in a dry style. Flinty lemon citrus and green apple notes on the nose followed by a palate of lime zest and honeydew melon. Firm acidity and fine minerality ground the wine and persist through a lengthy finish.


The Pinot Grigio goes well with seafood, particularly oysters, clams and white fish.  It's also a good match green leaf salads.

The Brennan Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio block resides on the lower flats of the family vineyard. The block has been divided into two separate blocks and each is treated quite differently in order to obtain the desired styles. The Pinot Grigio has been pruned to four cordons in order to allow for higher yields. The block is only lightly shoot thinned/leaf plucked and fruit thinned. Combined with early harvest dates these practices allow us to retain the brighter fruit characters and high acidity desirable for the style.
