B2 Tempranillo 2012
The 2012 Tempranillo continues Brennan's commitment to innovative viticulture and winemaking. Ripe plum, blackberry briar and subtle wild herbs frame the nose. The palate is lighter in style yet rich notes of black cherry and boysenberry meld with hints of leather and cranberry. The lengthy finish is complimented by the elegant tannins.
This lighter bodied Tempranillo would go well with tapas. A plate of olives, marinated mushrooms, a few slices of Chorizo sausage and some dried cured ham. Roasted lamb is also the ideal accompaniment to Tempranillo paired with Sheep milk cheeses, roast stuffed peppers and a vegetable casserole.
105 Cases produced.
Planted in 2007 on a 1/3 Ha sloping block, this variety is one of our newest. Young vines provide for a lighter styled wine which makes this Tempraniilo easy to approach.
Fermented in 1 smaller batch allowed us to keep a close eye on progress. Aged in 4 neutral French oak barrels for 24 months.
