B2 Pinot Grigio 2011
TASTING NOTES:
Produced in the classic Italian dry style, to be enjoyed with good food and good company. The 2011 wine shows green apple and notes of almond shortbread on the nose followed by a palate of white peach and flinty lemon. Subtle lime zest, framed by firm acidity and refreshing minerality, persists through through a lengthy finish.

FOOD MATCHING
The Pinot Grigio goes well with seafood, particularly oysters, clams and white fish. It's also a good match with green leafy salads or antipasto platters.
PRODUCTION
245 Cases produced.
VINEYARD
The Brennan Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio block resides on the lower flats of the family vineyard. The block has been divided into two separate blocks and each is treated quite differently in order to obtain the desired styles. The Pinot Grigio has been pruned to four cordons in order to allow for higher yields. The block is only lightly shoot thinned/leaf plucked and fruit thinned. Combined with early harvest dates these practices allow us to retain the brighter fruit characters and high acidity desirable for the style.
